We at the Texas Foster Youth Justice Project are proud to announce the publication of a new resource:
Aging Out of Foster Care in Texas: What You Need to Know is a one-page bifold handout that simply and directly explains what aging out of foster care means, how to determine if a person is in foster care, why it is important to know whether they age out, and the critical benefits and services that aged out foster youth are entitled to.
We encourage you to share this resource widely and to contact the Texas Foster Youth Justice Project if you think you or a young adult is experiencing challenges to access these benefits and services. Attached here are PDFs in both English and Spanish, and both languages include a color and grayscale version.
